Registration for GeoTop picnic 2024

Please complete the following form to sign up for the GeoTop picnic 2024. Registration closes Thursday, June 13, at midnight.

The picnic takes place on Saturday, June 15, at Jesper and Nathalie's holiday home in Northern Zealand.  The address is Øllenbjerg 6, Rågeleje, DK-3210 Vejby (map).

GeoTop members/alumni, GeoTop visitors, and children/spouses/partners of GeoTop members and visitors are welcome.

Lunch is at 12 p.m., so please arrive between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. Also, remember to bring a bathing suit and a towel, as we will most likely go swimming after lunch.

One can go by car, by public transportation, or by bike.

By car

If you are going by car, you are encouraged to invite other people to ride with you.

By public transportation

Option 1: Public transport and walking:

Take S-train A to Hillerød, then the train from Hillerød to Gilleleje station, and then a bus from Gilleleje station to Øllenbjerg 6. We recommend:

  • 9:36 The S-train (line A towards Hillerød) leaves Nørreport,  arriving at Hillerød at 10:16.
  • 10:20  The train (950R) for Gilleleje leaves Hillerød and arrives at Gilleleje St. at 10:50
  • 10:52 The bus (360R) leaves Gilleleje St. and arrives at Udsholt Strandvej (Udsholtvej) at 11:07
  • You then have to walk 1.6 km to Øllenbjerg 6, Rågeleje . ETA: 11:23. See the travel plan here.

Option 2: Public transport and taxi

  • 9:36 The S-train (line A towards Hillerød) leaves Nørreport,  arriving at Hillerød at 10:16.
  • 10:20  The train (950R) for Gilleleje leaves Hillerød and arrives at Græsted St. at 10:41. See the travel plan here.
  • Taxi. (phone no. 48484848) order one from Græsted to Øllenbjerg 6, Rågeleje. Estimated travel time: 16 min.

Alternatively, you can take the train to Tisvilleleje from Hillerød at 10:25 and get off at Vejby station at 10:51, and take a taxi from there.

Option 3: train and bike

The bike ride is approximately 25-30 kilometres from Hillerød to the summer house. 

  • 8:35 Train A towards Hillerød from Nørreport St.
  • 9:16 Arrival at Hillerød St. Mount your bikes.

Option 4: The long ride on the bike

A group will also bike all the way from Copenhagen, a 60km ride. The estimated travel time without breaks is 3.5 hours.

Additional note: A few people will stay for the night, camping. Let Jesper/Nathalie know if you would be interested in doing that.
