Jan Tapdrup, Centre Administrator at GeoTop
Based at his home office, Jan Tapdrup took up the position as center administrator at Copenhagen Center for Geometry and Topology on April 1st 2020.
Jan presents himself as follows:
- I have more university degrees than most people find reasonable. I studied mathematics, physics, philosophy, history of science and technology at Aarhus, Warwick and Oxford - before realising that I wanted to follow an administrative path. I then took an Executive MBA from CBS as well.
- I have worked as a Curator at the Danish Museum of Science & Technology, Head of the History of Technology Division at DTU and Museum Director for Museum Salling in windy Skive. Fate would have it that I had to take more care of my children now aged 9, 18 and 21 than I had planned for. So I am now back in Lyngby.
- I am really looking forward to help get the new research center up and running. Initially from the home office (the dining table), via phone, mail, Zoom and Skype - but I look forward to meeting you all in person.
